We are also happy to print the metallized materials for you, right through to finishing and shipping.
In addition to optical enhancement, metallizations also play a major role in counterfeit protection, since color copiers and conventional printing presses cannot reproduce the real metal.
More information on applications can also be found in the menu item Real Metallic Effects.

Metallized stickers - MetallicSticker
We also apply real metal in wafer-thin layers to self-adhesive films and self-adhesive paper and also print them. Typical colors in real metallic look are for example silver gloss, silver matt, gold gloss, gold matt, hologram effects shimmering in rainbow colors or brushed aluminum. We are also happy to print the metallized stickers for you, right up to finishing and shipping.
In addition to visual enhancement, metallizations also play a major role in counterfeit protection, since color copiers and conventional printing presses cannot reproduce the real metal.
The combination of metallization and microscopically fine embossing on self-adhesive paper is particularly attractive. This produces visually high-quality stickers that also offer good protection against counterfeiting. The microembossing is, beside graphic patterns, also able to incorporate names, text or logos.

Signage on metal plates
In the area of lettering, you can also have aluminum composite panels, also known as alu-dibond, printed with us. These are particularly resistant to bending and impact. They also withstand high wind pressure well and are subsequently used especially for durable lettering, such as construction site boards. Their core is made of plastic, the outer layers of thin aluminum. In contrast to single material metal panels, they are therefore cheaper and light-weighted.
Our advise, regardless of whether they are made of purely metal or aluminum composite: Instead of direct printing, it is better to use printed films. Those are, by the use of high-quality film and protective laminate, particularly durable, but can be easily changed or renewed if necessary. The carrier plate underneath then remains in use. This is good to your wallet and the environment at the same time.
From stamp size up to 980 x 1,380mm fully metallised. Silver gloss, silver silk matt, gold gloss and gold silk matt as standard. There is also a version of silver gloss with particularly high mirror image sharpness.
Hologram effect Rainbow Silver (rainbow iridescence without pattern) is available up to 680x980mm.
Material thicknesses from 120g/m² upwards. Also available in extra strong versions in grammages up to 400g/m² or just under 0.4mm thick. Maximum board thicknesses are 700g/m² or around 0.9mm. In addition, cardboard with a thickness of 1-3mm can also be metallised. The edge remains unmetallised.
For a real metallic gloss with a recognisable mirror image, the lowest grammage is 120g/m². Metallisation without a mirror image, such as silk matt or hologram effect, is also available from 120g/m². This grammage is already well suited as a cover material for hardcover books.
There are also thinner label papers for wet glue, but these are not suitable for anything other than label applications.
YES, in silver, matt or gloss, there are also particularly strong boards. For typical printed matter, such as business cards or product tags, MetalPaper Silver is often used in grammages of up to 400g/m² or just under 0.4mm thick. Maximum board thicknesses are 700g/m² or around 0.9mm.
In addition, cardboard with a thickness of 1-3mm can also be coated with silver metallic. The edge remains unmetallised. This is quite noticeable with this material thickness and is a matter of taste. With silver, this can be kept a little more discreet with cardboard with a white core.
YES, in gold, matt or gloss, there are also particularly strong boards. For typical printed matter, such as business cards or product tags, MetalPaper Gold is often used in grammages of up to 400g/m² or just under 0.4mm thick. Maximum board thicknesses are 700g/m² or around 0.9mm.
In addition, cardboard with a thickness of 1-3 mm can also be coated with gold metal. The edge remains unmetallised. This is quite noticeable with this material thickness and a matter of taste. In addition to the classic grey cardboard, high-quality white cardboard offers a remedy that looks a little more elegant.
YES, uncoated paper can also be metallised. The metallic coating adapts to the rather rough surfaces. The metallisation will therefore be somewhat more uneven and slightly more silky than on smooth, coated paper.
The metallisation can be applied over the entire surface or partially. With partial metallisation, a maximum of approx. DIN A3 can be applied per metallisation pass and the sheet format may be a maximum of 630x880mm. Additional areas can be applied in further metallisation passes.
Not quite, but almost, if it has been specially made. Such materials are often used for special advertising gimmicks, such as "See our best customer here" or "This is our employee of the month" and you can then see your own reflection. Our "simsa MetalPaper Silver High Gloss Mirror" is such a board with high mirror image sharpness. To achieve this, we use particularly high-quality raw materials, such as a carrier board that is already extremely homogeneous and super-smooth on the surface, even before it is metallised. This costs more, of course. For many projects, therefore, our "simsa MetalPaper Silver Standard Economy" is absolutely sufficient: silver metallic, light-reflecting, with mirror image, but the latter in not quite as high image sharpness. You can see the comparison here [LINK].
However, a glass mirror remains unsurpassed in terms of maximum image sharpness and lifelikeness and can never be replaced by a "paper mirror".
From stamp size up to 980 x 1,380mm fully metallised.
Optimally in UV inkjet or screen printing, for large quantities of multicolour printing also in UV offset. Some printers also use UV-LE offset or foil inks, but this often depends on the printer's wealth of experience and willingness to experiment in this area and also on the job itself.
From fingernail size up to 680x980mm fully metallised. Standard in silver gloss, silver silk matt, gold gloss, gold silk matt or hologram effect rainbow silver (rainbow iridescence without pattern). The self-adhesive film can be customised by us using the modular principle. This means that many additional properties are possible, such as a certain strength of adhesive force, tactile structures on the surface or matt-gloss contrast effects.
Only in silk matt optics. Here, the original glossy metallisation is given a silk matt overcoat, which makes the paper largely scratch-resistant. Finger tappers are also much less visible.
If required, individual elements can be made glossy again with a partial UV coating.
YES, the look of brushed aluminium or brushed stainless steel is even available in 2 variants: On the one hand, a smooth surface with very fine brush lines that also contrast very slightly in colour. On the other hand, a surface with a coarse, tactile structure that is uniform in colour.
YES, depending on your personal taste, you can choose from 3 variants: Silver gloss with mirror image, silver silk matt and silver silk gloss with a discreet brushed look (smooth surface with very fine brushed lines, which also contrast very slightly in colour).
YES, in both silk matt and gloss, with a mirror image visible here.
That depends on the view of the person looking at it. Most people perceive our MetalPaper Silver Satin, which is actually silver satin, as the closest to platinum.
YES, first and foremost UV inkjet printing can be used in a few digital printing processes to produce small series or short runs on metallised papers at acceptable prices. An additional advantage here is the possibility of individualising each print. For example, 10 certificates on gold cardboard can be issued with 10 different personal names.
Depending on the application and job, different ways lead to the goal. We use hot foil stamping and foil lamination as the main techniques.
