Hologram effects

Print in the dazzling colors of the rainbow

With our metallic hologram effects, you can print the iridescence and glitter of rainbow colors. The effect is created by the refraction of light, known as diffraction. Depending on the viewing angle, light is reflected in different spectral colors.

Hologram effects

We deliberately use the term hologram effect, as most applications focus on the color-changing effect of a hologram. However, the image motifs are two-dimensional, such as triangles, dots, stars or simply smooth silver. Micro-embossing can also be used to incorporate customer-specific patterns, such as texts or logos.

Hologram effects are the perfect eye-catcher for book covers, brochures or invitations . Certificates, certificates and vouchers are also protected against forgery by color copiers .

Real holograms

Other technologies are also possible, but are much more complex: real holograms show holographically created 3D images with a depth effect. So-called “kinegrams”™ impress with two-dimensional motion sequences with changing viewing angles. These technologies can also be seen on a number of euro banknotes. They are mainly used in high-security printing, such as banknotes, ID documents and credit cards. In the case of vouchers or high-priced branded products, however, a higher print run can also justify commercial applications.

Single image holograms

We therefore also offer the precise application of real single image holograms, so-called single image registered holograms. Most holograms have a continuous wallpaper pattern within the applied contour, such as stars, triangles or logos. The positioning always varies slightly, which nobody notices.

With single image holograms, however, an image motif is positioned precisely within the contours. A well-known example was the Mozart head on the Austrian 5,000 schilling banknote.

Eye catcher for premium print types

Hologram effects are also perfect for premium print types to attract the attention of potential customers from afar. For example, they make for a great eye-catcher onbusiness cards, invitations, magazine and book covers, stickers or posters.

A hologram effect on packaging can also create psychological incentives to buy, which can trigger a buying impulse

Possibilities of hologram effects in print

We metallize in hologram effect both over the entire surface and in partial areas, such as texts or logos.

We can apply hologram effects to paper, card, cardboard, various plastics and self-adhesive films for you.
