High pressure
In the past, letterpress printing was often referred to as letterpress printing and can technically be traced back to Johannes Gutenberg, the inventor of letterpress printing. Over the last 50 years, it has been superseded by offset printing and has only survived in niche markets. A modern marketing term for this is “letterpress”, where business cards are produced on historical machines with a classic letterpress appearance. We do this too, but instead of printing ink, we melt color pigments. The choice of colors is therefore more limited, but we have the advantage that we can also melt real metal: In addition to gold and silver, hologram effects and many metallic colors are also possible. A more tactile indentation can also be achieved on request.
We can process this type of business card size up to a sheet format of 720×1,020mm. From 80g/m² paper to cardboard up to 700g/m² and 4mm thick cardboard, a wide range of materials is possible.
